About Vashishti River

River Vashishti is one of the largest rivers in the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, India. The river originates in the Western Ghats and snakes its way westwards towards the Arabian Sea at Dabhol. Kolkiwadi Dam, near Alore has a vast reservoir which feeds a tributary of the river. With the town Chiplun on its bank, the view of the river turns really breathtaking.
