About Amboli Waterfall

The waterfall is surrounded by dense forests and offers a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The area around Amboli Waterfall is rich in flora and fauna, making it a perfect spot for photography, nature walks, and bird watching. The misty atmosphere and the soothing sound of the water falling create a peaceful and rejuvenating environment for visitors.

Amboli itself is a popular monsoon destination, and the waterfall is one of its most visited attractions. The accessibility of the waterfall, combined with the scenic beauty of the surrounding region, makes it an ideal spot for picnics, trekking, and spending quality time in the lap of nature.

The best time to visit Amboli Waterfall is during the monsoon season, between June and July, when the waterfalls are in their prime and the water gushes in plenty. Although monsoons aren't a great time for sightseeing due to heavy rains, this is when most tourists flock to Amboli to experience its lush vegetation and vibrant waterfalls.

At 400 ft high, the Amboli waterfall might not be the tallest but voluminous. This is because Amboli receives the highest rainfall in Maharashtra. The waterfall often remains thronged with tourists to take bath and see its scenic beauty.

Amboli waterfall is three kilometers away from the main bus stop. One can take a bus or taxi to reach there from anywhere in Amboli. The waterfall is close to the road but to reach its base, one will have to trek downhill.
