About Savatkada Waterfall / Chuna Kolvan

Legend has it that this waterfall was formed as a result of a crater formation that lies at the base of it. Relish the magnificence of the sparkling water descending with a big roar. It is among the best places to visit in Konkan. The best season to see the glorious waterfall is in monsoon as it is during monsoons that rivers are fully flowing, and mountains are conscious after a long period of sleep.

The Savatkada waterfall cascades into the valley from 125 feets height that creates a stunning sight to behold. There is a nice pool at the base which is safe most of the time except during intense rainfall. For reaching the waterfall, you need to patiently walk on a soil path. It's an ideal spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts who wish to capture the splendid beauty of Mother Nature.

Please note, during monsoon season extra precautions should be taken while visiting waterfalls due to slippery surfaces and high water flow. And always follow guidelines provided by local authorities for a safe and enjoyable experience.
