About Ozarkada / Ozarkond Waterfall

The road leading towards this particular waterfall is beautiful and mesmerizing. In the quaint little village of Ghagawadi, which lies about 20 kilometers off the Rajapur-Mumbai Road, one encounters with a virtually virgin landscape.

The typical sounds of the cattle mooing, hens catching up on their daily gossip with each other, and the tiny activities of the honey bees springing from flower to flower; one might wish to pause and take some time to seep in all this nature, awake in every sense. The whole pathway that leads up to the Ozarkada waterfall is lined up with such equally powerful yet calming scenes of nature.

One tends to be captured by them to such an extent that only the gushing and roaring sounds of this king like waterfall seem to distract one enough to digest through one look - the Ozarkada Waterfall.

As the upper part of this, not so big waterfall is lined by a dense forest, the water is as clear as crystal, because of low to zero soil mixing with the water. An interesting thing to note about this waterfall is that it has its source in Lanje, whereas the actual waterfall falls in Rajapur. In the peak rainy season, the waterfall looks like a white stroke has been brushed on the green canvas of nature.
