About Hedvi Beach

Hedvi Beach is a quiet beach that rests peacefully among the coves of the Konkan region. Hedvi Beach is not just a beach of sun and sand, which people visit and forget. Hedvi Beach is a divine entity in the lap of nature that reflects our culture and Hindu mythology. Hedvi Beach is associated with the Hindu deities and its history dates back to the mythological saga where Hindu Gods like Ganesha and Lakshmi themselves visited to Hedvi. Built on Hedvi beach, this temple is ancient and rare in its existence. It is mainly a pilgrimage site and attracts many pilgrims from all over the country. Shri Ganesha Temple is an important temple due to its historical importance. Avoid entering the water here. If you are particular about diving in the sea, the far end is better. A word of caution: Hedvi Beach is not the safest beach for swimming and ideally diving should be avoided. Hedvi is known for its beaches and temples. The beaches are known for their clear water and coral reefs. Temples in the village are dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

The black sands of Hedvi Beach stretch between the white-sand beaches of Guhagar and Vardaneshwar and end at the famous Uma Maheshwari Temple. Massive rock formations dominate the beach, with milky white tidal waves washing its feet. If you're looking for a secluded getaway for a long weekend while still being close to tourist attractions, Hedvi is your answer. Hedvi is a small bay on a black sand beach practically away from everything, even with mobile phone coverage yet very close to popular places like Ganapatipule, Vardaneshwar and Guhagar!!

People from all over the country flock to Hedvi Beach and visit this ancient temple to seek blessings and seek salvation. A grand festival is organized in the premises of the Hedvi temple in which thousands of people participate in a chariot procession during the Magha period of the Hindu calendar.

Hedvi Beach is also famous for its peaceful highlights and one of the main attractions of the beach is a huge dark stone monument called Bahman Ghal at a height of about 35 feet. Brahmin Ghal is a typical char that is about 35 feet long and 20 feet deep. The canyon is in a dark shake and is about 2 feet wide. The roar of the waves crashing against the rocks and the part of the water rising and sending up a spray of water is an important gift. This masterpiece of nature flows with smooth air pockets during high tide when the sea water rushes into the ghats. September to May is the best time to visit Hedvi village.
