About Scuba Diving

Scuba Diving in Konkan is one of the most popular things that tourists do when they visit Konkan. Arabian Sea has a rich and colourful underwater life that tourists enjoy looking at. It can be an exhilarating moment to watch colourful fishes swimming and multicolour corals  swaying around while scuba diving. There are several beaches where the holidaymakers go for a Scuba Diving.

While Malvan and Tarkarli are most famous for scuba diving in Konkan, there are other places such as Alibaug & Ratnagiri which also offers this adventurous treat.  Malvan has two spots of scuba diving - near Sindhudurg and at Tsunami Islands which is more popular.

Tourists of all ages can enjoy scuba diving as there is no prior knowledge of swimming required for this activity and before embarking in the diving, trained instructors train the participants and then accompany them for this wonderful journey.

Shallow Diving (Basic):
10-20 feet

Deep Diving (Advance):
20-40 feet

Best Time to Experience:
October to May, when the sea is calm and safe for such rides.

Safety Measures:
Never smoke in the scuba diving area as it is restricted
No alcoholic drinks are allowed to be consumed before scuba diving
Even if you are an experienced swimmer, don’t refuse the help of the professionals
Remember to carry essential items such as a valid ID proof, extra clothes, towel, sanitary kit, sport shoes, dry food, torch, medicines, sunscreen, and energy drink.
